The purpose of this module is firstly to briefly explore what is meant by Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) (to refresh your memory) and then to look at how to guide student teachers in developing appropriate pedagogical knowledge practices.
By the end of this module, you should be able to:
- Assist student teachers to develop a better understanding of the types of knowledge areas they need to develop to strengthen their overall teaching
- Discuss pedagogical knowledge practices which develop PCK
- Guide student teachers towards developing their personal PCK
